Shinichi IKAWA

After graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo, he entered the Ministry of Defense as a Class I national civil servant. I was involved in Japan-U.S. defense cooperation, international policy, defense budget and equipment policy, and the launch of new projects. While working there, he studied abroad at Columbia University's Graduate School of International Public Policy in the United States, majoring in international security. As the first personnel exchange from the Japanese government, he also worked for the Australian Ministry of Defense, gaining experience in multilateral policy coordination and organizational management.

After that, I shifted my focus to an environment where I was directly responsible for business results, not just policy and proposals. At Open House Group, he was engaged in sales planning, organizational restructuring, business development, new business launches, and subsidiary management planning. Since then, he has served as a founding member and COO of a growing company, a corporate planner for a domestic investment group, a director of an investee business company, and a general director of an IT subsidiary in Vietnam.

We have led hands-on reforms that transform management issues into systems that work in the field, including the concept and launch of new businesses, P/L and KPI management, organizational design, recruitment, evaluation, grades, and compensation, personnel and labor affairs, management systems, business processes, systems development such as CRM and HRIS, and PMI. Our strength is not only in deciding policies at the management meeting, but also in incorporating roles, KPIs, systems, work flows, systems, and operational rules, and making them stick.

Our company was founded in 2023. At GCI, we do not treat human resources issues and business issues separately, but view them as one growth system.
