Greetings from Co-founders

Our journey began with a chance encounter between a job seeker and a recruiter. Through Yusuke’s career consultation and recruitment support, Shinichi made the leap from job seeker to recruiter, evolving our relationship from one of job seeker and recruitment supporter to one of hiring manager and talent provider. As we collaborated, we became increasingly aware of the many challenges faced by companies, job seekers, and recruitment agencies. For example, the current talent industry often prioritizes short term profits by mechanically matching candidates with positions. However, career choices and job transitions should be deeply personal and based on individual backgrounds and aspirations, not simply a matter of matching skills with requirements.

Profile
Shinichi’s career began at Japan Ministry of Defense. He was selected as the first person to be dispatched to the Australian Department of Defense, and he has since worked in the field of international exchange. He then pivoted himself to the business world, where he gained experience in executive management and recruitment at a major real estate company, a real estate venture, a venture capital and a operating company in Japan, and an overseas IT company. He then co-founded Global Career Incubator (GCI). At GCI, Shinichi is responsible for corporate management, strategy and marketing.

Profile
Yusuke graduated from California State University San Marcos and co-founded Agarscents Bazaar in California. Through the educational and working experiences in the U.S., he acquired a proficient level of English. The Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 served as a catalyst for him to prioritize human connection and bond with Japan, which ultimately led to his decision to return. Yusuke co-founded Global Career Incubator after serving as a manager for more than 10 years at Robert Walters and enworld Japan, both specializing in global executive search and headhunting.
